How to Install Nudi Kannada Keyboard on Your PC or Laptop (Easy Guide)

In today’s guide, I’ll show you how to install Nudi, the Kannada typing software, on your PC or laptop.
Many systems don’t come with a proper Kannada keyboard by default. Even if Kannada input is available, it’s usually not accurate or convenient. When you type one alphabet, a different word appears — which is annoying and wastes time.
That’s exactly why Nudi is a much better option. It’s accurate, easy to use, and matches the typing style we learned in school and college.
Let’s get started.
Step 1: Open Google Chrome
Open the Chrome browser on your computer.
Double-click and launch it.
In the search bar, type “Nudi” and press Enter.
Step 2: Visit the Official Nudi Download Page
You will see the official Nudi page at the top of the search results.
Click on it.
Once the page opens, look for “Download Nudi 6.1” (or the latest version available).
Click on the download button.
Step 3: Download Nudi 6.1
After clicking, the download will start automatically.
Wait until the file is fully downloaded.
When the file appears, click on it to open the installer.
Step 4: Install Nudi on Your PC
A setup window will appear.
Follow these steps:

Click Yes

Select I accept the agreement

Click Next

Click Next again

Continue clicking Next

When you see Create Desktop Shortcut, keep it checked

Click Next

Finally, click Install
Nudi will now install on your system.
Within a few seconds, installation will be completed.
Click Finish.
Step 5: Start Using Nudi
You will now see the Nudi 6.1 icon on your desktop.
Open MS Word or any text editor.
Start typing.
For example:

Type k → Kannada letter ಕ

Type ka → ಕಾ

Type nudi → ನುಡಿ

Type kannada → ಕನ್ನಡ
You will immediately see the difference:
Nudi gives clean, accurate Kannada output — much better than the default system keyboard.
