How to Withdraw a Small Amount from Your Canara Bank Fixed Deposit (Partial Redemption Guide)
Sometimes you urgently need only a small amount of money, even though you have a large Fixed Deposit (FD) in your Canara Bank account.
For example, imagine you have an FD of ₹50,000, but you only need ₹10,000 right now.
Instead of closing the entire FD, you can withdraw just a part of it.
This process is called Partial Redemption.
In this guide, you’ll learn exactly how to withdraw a small portion of your FD amount using the Canara Bank Mobile Banking App.
Before You Start
You must have:
-
The Canara Bank Mobile App installed
-
Your mobile banking account already set up
-
Your MPIN ready
(If you don’t know how to register, or how to reset MPIN, I have already made videos on that—add your links in your description.)

Step 6: Select the Transfer Account
Tap on the Amount Transfer Option and choose your linked bank account.
By default, your primary account will be shown.

Step 7: Confirm and Enter MPIN
The app will show a summary screen.
Tap Confirm.
You’ll be asked to enter your MPIN.
Enter it and proceed.
Step 8: Withdrawal Successful
Once verified, the app will automatically process the partial redemption.
You’ll see:
“Fixed Deposit Partial Redemption Successful.”
You will also receive an SMS confirming the withdrawal.
The remaining FD amount continues as usual and will keep earning interest.
Important Note
Once you withdraw a part of your FD:
-
You cannot add money back into the same FD
-
If you want to invest again, you must create a new FD
If you need a guide on creating a new FD, add your own video link in the description.
